How can you be sure a candle or melt is 100% Vegan?

If you are a practicing Vegan or vegetarian and concerned about avoiding all animal products, please be assured that all our candles are made from 100% Superior Soy wax.

Pure Soy wax candles are made exclusively from processed Soybean Oil. A big clue to investigate whether a candle you are about to purchase is 100% soy is if it is not hosted in a container of sorts. Soy candles have a low melting point therefore if you do buy a pillar candle, be certain to check that whatever has been mixed with it to raise the melting point, is Vegan friendly.

Most candle makers use between 5 and 7% fragrance proportionate to their wax. Soy wax distributes fragrance a little less than Paraffin. To ensure that our candles hold their scent throughout the burn time we use a 10% scent mix to wax. This ensure that our candles or melts continue to remain fragrant even after many hours of burn time. We also use natural plant dye chips to create our colours.

Soy candles create a clean burn (no smoke) however they do leave a much larger wax pool during burning but once extinguished quickly solidify ready for the next time you want to raise the fragrance level in a room.

Soy wax burns slowly so if you have a small or shallow platform on your wax burner, try halving a wax melt to start off with until you can safely estimate how much wax will liquefy per melt
